I received a message from Herb wondering if there was any chance I would drive down to Cornwall for an undercover photoshoot which might involve a ring, obviously I agreed!
Beyond excited, we agreed a date and I made the journey down to cornwall to photograph the engagement. On arrival, I wandered around keeping my distance pretending to photograph wildlife and dogs down on the beach whilst waiting for the nod. As they strolled along the beach Herb picked his moment and asked the big question. After lots of smiles and hugs, I think it's safe to say that Soph said 'Yes!'. On a sunny Sunday morning in October, I headed to the stunning Westonbirt arboretum to catch up with the lovely Sam and Jade. I'd had the pleasure of meeting Sam and Jade at our stand at the Bath and West Show where we were delighted when they decided to book us as their wedding photographers!
So the time had come for their pre-wedding shoot and having spotted the gorgeous colours of the scenery at Westonbirt Arboretum we decided that this was the best place for the shoot. !!! WARNING CUTENESS OVERLOAD !!!!!
But first a special thank you to Neve's Mum, Laura for her kind words which I'll pop below and for allowing me to share these scrummy images. ' I’m stunned at how beautiful these shots are - taken by Sophie Edmunds Photography of Neve & Lightning this summer. They capture the bond and love these two have for each other perfectly, and will be treasured for years to come. Looking through them makes me a bit emotional, thank you Sophie for these memories that we will love forever ' This shoot was so cute it simply HAD to come with a warning, Neve and Lightening are best friends to the core, Neve even makes Lightening drawings, Birthday and Christmas cards which are all displayed at the back of her stable, alongside Lightenings teddy of course! After many photoshoots together over the last few years, I'm fortunate that Bella has become a good friend and loyal client. So when Bella mentioned that she wanted to purchase a voucher to gift to her mum, Lynne, I was so excited! I knew she wanted to capture more than just pretty pictures. It was about preserving the precious moments they shared together, with their heart horses.
August is the perfect time for dreamy golden hour photoshoots. So with a bit of planning and a lot of luck we were blessed with some stunning sunshine! Ahh these two are just the sweetest! I met Daria during her first photoshoot back in 2022 with her pony Becky at her gorgeous yard so I was super excited to be invited to Daria's new home to meet her new boy Murphy. As always Daria absolutely smashed her outfit choices and I am so excited to show you just a handful of the incredible images we captured.
Some kind words from the lovely Freya to start todays blog-
‘Sophie has been the most perfect photographer! I really felt like I had known Sophie for years, she made me feel very comfortable in front of the camera and has a great eye for detail from around the yard to styling my outfits. The bond between myself and my horse really shone through in the photos and it was an experience I will never forget! Thank you Sophie, keep doing what you’re doing’ -Freya 🤍 What a vibe!
On the 6th July, I had the pleasure of photographing the incredible wedding of local couple, Mr & Mrs Duggan. If I was to describe their day in 3 words it would have to be relaxed, fun and personal... what more could you want. Every single little detail had been thought of and there was such a personal stamp on the whole day. ' I look at the photos that Sophie did for us every day and am so glad that we captured that moment in time with our two foals. Her relaxed and enthusiastic manner brought the best out in me despite the fact that I don’t really like having my photo taken. The results were just gorgeous photos of me with my horses and foals and a very difficult choice to make of which ones to keep. Thank you for your patience Sophie ' - Stephanie
