 Last week I was commissioned by the lovely Issy to come and photograph her and her sister Elle at their beautiful yard in Wiltshire. Issy found me on instagram a couple of years before but had decided it was time to get in touch and have a photoshoot with their very special ponies. They had spent their childhood riding together and had fond memories together so I made it my mission to capture this. During the pre-shoot consultation, they expressed that they were both a bit nervous about what to expect and what would be best to wear for the photoshoot, we used the time to talk about each of the ponies and their personalities to create a loose plan for the day. We then discussed the best outfit options that would give variety and colour to the images whilst capturing both of their styles.
On the day of the shoot, I arrived to welcoming smiles from Issy and Elle and 4 spotless horses. Not to mention their amazing Mum and Boyfriends who played groom for the day! We started the photoshoot in the stables and close to the yard, getting the horses settled and making sure that everyone felt comfortable. We then ventured further around the yard finding the most incredible backdrops for the photoshoot.  When you have a driveway this beautiful, you can bet your bottom dollar that I will be making the most of it!
Despite days of rain on the lead up we were blessed with lots of sunshine and just the occasional shower towards the end of the session which we were able to dodge!  I really think the photographs speak for themselves, Issy and Elle absolutely smashed their photoshoot and their lovely Mum even plucked up the courage to have some photographs with her gorgeous ex-racehorse at the end too! We had so much fun and I feel so grateful that I am commissioned to work with such amazing people and to be able to be creative in such beautiful places.
