Mid-November gave us one of those rare, perfectly crisp autumn days—the kind where the light is soft, the colours are rich, and everything just works. This shoot with Andy and Andy was exactly that: relaxed, joyful, and full of warmth.
Alex also invited her sister-in-law Meg along, who came with her beautiful son Rex. Adding them into the session made it feel even more special—capturing natural, playful moments between family members surrounded by autumn tones and open countryside.
I first met this gorgeous family back in the summer, and since then they’ve truly become good friends of mine. So when we started chatting about doing another shoot together, I was so excited. There’s something really special about photographing people you genuinely connect with—it makes everything feel effortless and fun.
Joining in the fun was their gorgeous new Golden Retriever, Rye, who absolutely stole the show. Full of puppy energy and curiosity, Rye brought so much life and laughter to the shoot and made for some incredibly heartwarming moments.
Alex, quite honestly, is the Lydia Millen of farm life. She somehow manages to make muddy boots, countryside walks, and farm surroundings look completely glamorous—and does it all without trying. Effortless, stylish, and totally at home in the landscape.
Sorry to ruin the image of perfection but we all agreed this was far too funny not to share... Rye really said 'urghhh Mum, Dad don't be gross, you're making me cringe'
We spent the session exploring the farm, making the most of the autumn colours. From golden woodland paths to the gentle flow of the stream, every spot felt magical in that November light. Of course, no farm shoot would be complete without the cows making an appearance—and they didn’t disappoint.
This shoot felt like a perfect blend of friendship, family, and creativity—and the best part? Our next session is already planned. It’s going to be cowboy themed, and I honestly cannot wait to get creative with it. Watch this space… 🤠✨
