Some weddings are all about elegance, others about tradition – but Megan and Harley’s day was something truly unique: a celebration of love, family, and farming life, all set in the most personal of places – their very own lambing shed.
The shed, usually home to new spring arrivals, was transformed into the most beautiful of venues. Hessian softened the rustic walls, and above the guests, hanging floral decorations filled the space with colour and fragrance. It was the perfect mix of countryside charm and thoughtful styling - a setting that reflected Harley and Meg perfectly.
Meg looked absolutely incredible as she walked down the aisle of Huntspill Church to Harley, and celebrated their marriage surrounded by their friends and family, Their ceremony was filled with laughter, a few happy tears and lots of warmth.
After the vows, the celebration truly came to life. Guests mingled beneath the hanging blooms, enjoying the relaxed atmosphere and the wonderful sense of community. The farm provided endless opportunities for photos.
What made this wedding so special was how authentic it felt. Nothing was staged or forced – it was simply Megan and Harley, celebrating in the place they call home, surrounded by the people (and animals!) who matter most to them.
Coming from a butchers family, the beef for the reception was all home reared by the family and they were even surprised with a singing waiter who was sooo good and got everybody up dancing!
Their lambing shed may not be the first venue that comes to mind for a wedding, but with hessian, flowers, and a whole lot of love, it became the most beautiful venue imaginable. Megan and Harley’s day was proof that a farm can be every bit as romantic as any grand hall – and definitely more meaningful.
Thank you so much for letting us be part of your special day, it was a pleasure to photograph!
Sophie xoxo
