A bit of sunshine and lot's of smile after an incredible photo shoot with Jake and Sam. Roo has been a massive part of Sam’s life and with their new puppy, Thatcher, growing up fast it was the perfect moment to capture their bond during a winter photoshoot.
I first met Jake, Sam and Thatcher at The Royal Bath and West Show in Shepton Mallet back in June when they visited my trade stand and entered my show competition. A few weeks later, we drew the winner and fortunately Sam was drawn so after informing Sam that she had won her very own equine portrait experience, I was so excited to catch up with them again.
A couple of weeks ago, I had the pleasure of visiting Jake, Sam, Roo the horse and Thatcher the fox red lab at their gorgeous yard in Sherborne. We started Sam's photo shoot by talking through the best locations around the yard and Sam also suggested using a gorgeous nearby bridlepath too. We chose a couple of outfits from the suitcase of clothes Sam brought with her and started photographing.
Having had Roo for more than 5 years, Sam explained that at 19 years old Roo is getting older and she was eager to make sure that she was able to have their relationship captured in some beautiful photographs together. They truly rocked the photoshoot and I just know the memories and additional frames and images they purchased will only become more precious as time goes by and I can't wait to see them up on the wall for the world to see and cherish.
