Neve and lightening

But first a special thank you to Neve's Mum, Laura for her kind words which I'll pop below and for allowing me to share these scrummy images.

This shoot was so cute it simply HAD to come with a warning, Neve and Lightening are best friends to the core, Neve even makes Lightening drawings, Birthday and Christmas cards which are all displayed at the back of her stable, alongside Lightenings teddy of course!

Lightening is blind in one eye but that does not effect the trust she has in Neve, they are two peas in a pod and no matter what Neve asks of her she really is the perfect pony. We started the shoot in Neves 'picnic blanket dress' which truly has the cuteness factor. I like to keep it both safe and simple with children and ponys at the start of the session so we started in Lightenings field. Obviously she was a superstar and despite Neve only being 6 years old, she was totally confident and relaxed handling Lightening on her own so we soon moved on to some more exciting locations.

I think it's safe to say, Lightening is pretty bomb proof so Laura suggested a few bareback shots so with Mum keeping hold we captured some gorgeous images of Neve on board having a well deserved cuddle!
