Mr & mrs stevens- the wedding day

21/6/2024

I think this photo sums up this gorgeous wedding pretty well... It was a day full of love, fun, beautiful views, horses and obviously the cows too!

I met Will and Jess when Jess arranged an equine photoshoot for her now sister in law after a friend of hers recommended me. A couple of months later Jess got in touch to book their wedding photography. I was beyond excited, I knew it was going to be the most incredible day.

We made the journey up to Hampshire the day before the wedding ready for the wedding rehearsal and the big day. The rehearsal is always a great time to get to know the wedding party so I take full advantage of chatting to everyone!

My Mum and second photographer, Lucy headed to the boys to capture their morning in the parlour and getting the tractors ready. Whilst I enjoyed a far more relaxing morning with the girls.

The morning of the wedding was as chilled as ever, the key to a relaxed morning is having calm people around you who will encourage you to have fun rather than worrying about what might go wrong.

A word of reassurance from me for any of you Brides to be -  no one else knows their plans, if something isn't quite where it's supposed to be nobody else will notice other than you.

We even heard the boys on the way to the church in the tractors  from the house whilst we were in the garden. At this point we knew Lucy and the groomsmen were at the church capturing and welcoming guests so the excitement really started!

The ceremony was beautiful with lots of friends and family attending in a beautiful church hidden in the Hampshire countryside. The ceremony was sealed with a kiss and we headed outside the church to be greeted by a horse drawn cart and of course a rain shower too!

No spirits were dampened though, the umbrellas came out and we carried on smiling until the sun shone back through for a gorgeous evening!.
When we got to the farm, we captured the group shots and enjoyed the sunshine before heading off for a few sneaky photographs with the cows before it was time to sit down and eat.

It was then time to dance the night away!
Thank you Will and Jess for trusting us with capturing your memories from your special day, it was a true pleasure.

Hey or should I say hay!

I'm Sophie,  rural life photographer and lover of all things country and horses.
Creating beautiful photographs of you and the four legged love of your life is my absolute passion. As a keen horsewoman from the age of 3 years old, I can hand on heart say that horses are my favourite thing on this earth, closely followed by my love of capturing the connection between animals and their humans . I adore being out in the fresh air, enjoying all things country from tweed and fashion to long walks and views. Tell me more...
