What a show! Ahh I can't even explain how much of a buzz I get when I am out at shows. They are definitely my happy place. I love being able to speak to you all face to face- catch up with old clients and welcome lots of new clients in too. The atmosphere is just undescribable and I always feel so proud to have my work up on display for the world to see. Situated right next to the show ring we had lots of footfall and we could watch the main ring from our stand. I love watching all the amazing displays that are put on throughout the day from the livestock to the hunt relay and showing classes. The turnout as always was phenomenal and an absolute credit to everyone involved. With the show being compacted to the 3 days this year, there was an amazing turnout of over 100,000 people. The show started with 2 days of amazing sunshine, blue skies and lots of chatting. Past clients came to catch up and talk horses, I supplied drinks and biscuits and most of them could spot themselves somewhere on my stand which was lovely to see! We finished day 1 and 2 with big smiles, lots of bookings and a delicious sparkling wine from Hattingley Valley who were opposite us ( it would be rude not too right?). The final day- if you don't laugh you would cry! When we arrived at the site, 40 mph winds and heavy rain overnight had taken most of the trade stands with it, including mine. It was carnage and so devastating for everyone who had spent so much time, money and effort setting up such beautiful displays. I was so lucky to get away with very minimal damage and nothing that a good wash won't put right. Endless thanks goes out to Morgan from Avant-Garde Equestrian who saved the day and managed to rescue everything inside and put it in her tent out of the weather! Despite the mishap the show was an amazing success, I loved seeing you all there and meeting lots of new faces. Thank you to everyone who helped make it happen and to my lovely auntie, Sandra who helped me on the stand both days. I couldn't have done it without you!
