 Some bonds are impossible to put into words – the kind built over years of shared adventures, quiet moments, and unconditional trust. For Abbie, that bond is with her beautiful horse, Sophie. At over 20 years old, Sophie has been part of Abbie’s life for more than a decade, and the two of them share a connection that is truly special to witness. This photoshoot was an extra meaningful one, as it was gifted to Abbie by her lovely mum, Anita, to celebrate her 50th birthday. And what a perfect way to mark such a milestone – by capturing the partnership that has been such a huge part of Abbie’s life.  We planned the session for early morning to catch the golden sunrise light, and it couldn’t have been more magical. The soft glow wrapped around Abbie and Sophie as they wandered through the long grass, highlighting every detail – from Sophie’s kind, wise eyes to the way Abbie smiled at her with such love and pride.
The shoot was calm, relaxed, and full of tender moments.  It was such a privilege to capture this shoot, not just as a series of photographs, but as a story of friendship and loyalty spanning years. For Abbie, these images will always be a reminder of her bond with Sophie – a horse who has been her companion, her confidant, and her joy for over ten years.
What a beautiful gift from Anita- a golden sunrise, a milestone birthday, and a horse who has been part of Abbie’s life for so long – it all came together to create a set of photographs that will be treasured for years to come.
