5 REASONS WHY EQUINE PORTRAITS ARE IMPORTANT...

We are all guilty of rushing around the countryside, whether it's down the yard mucking out, hacking, walking the dogs or competing. However, it is so important to take  the time to capture these memories and the bond that you are creating between your and your four legged friends. Here are just 5 of the many reasons why it is so important to hire your professional photographer to photograph these precious moments...

  1. Life gets busy and stressful, you don’t think you ever will, but it’s easy to forget special characteristics, unique behaviours and all the little things that you love most about your four legged friends. Images capture the relationship and connection between you and your horse.
  2. Photographs are the only way we can truly re-visit the past. Memories fade with time, but photographs preserve 'those' moments forever.
  3. Displaying photos proudly in your home shows children that they are valued and gives them increased confidence and self-esteem. I always encourage other members of the family to get involved on photo shoots if they would like to.
  4. Life can be unpredictable and as much as we don’t want to think about it, we are not promised tomorrow. At some point in time, all we have left are our memories and photos.
  5.  Photo's give you a reason to smile even, you will want to look back at what you enjoyed and spent so much time doing and you can’t do that with images lost forever on an old phone or computer. I always include a print with my photo shoot experiences for this reason as a photograph really does last a lifetime.

If there's anything we have learned from this pandemic it's that there is no better time to capture this than right now.

Hey or should I say hay!

I'm Sophie,  rural life photographer and lover of all things country and horses.
Creating beautiful photographs of you and the four legged love of your life is my absolute passion. As a keen horsewoman from the age of 3 years old, I can hand on heart say that horses are my favourite thing on this earth, closely followed by my love of capturing the connection between animals and their humans . I adore being out in the fresh air, enjoying all things country from tweed and fashion to long walks and views. Tell me more...
